ENGLISH TIME 21/04

GOOD MORNING EVERYONE!

HOW ARE YOU?

Hoy os traigo dos tareas,

1) La primera es la ROUTINE en vuestros cuadernos. Ya sabéis lo que hay que escribir ( day of the week, date (month), weather, age and where do you live ). También debéis incluir:
- Numbers: 12, 22, 100
- Ordinal numbers: 1º, 2º, 3º, 20º
- Time:  (8:15) ; (1:30) ; (10:45)
Os recuerdo que tenéis que escribir las frases COMPLETAS!


2) Además, hoy vamos a trabajar la destreza de reading de una forma más entretenida, repasando además, preposiciones de lugar y estructuras gramaticales que ya hemos visto ¿os parece?.
 A continuación os dejo la descripción de una imagen que tenéis que leer, y esta vez, en vez de responder a preguntas de comprensión, vais a tener que dibujar lo que estáis leyendo ¿aceptáis el reto?

En la unit 3 "Around the town" vimos la estructura "There is (singular objects) /are (plural objects)" para hablar sobre lo que hay o no en una ciudad. El siguiente texto va a usar esa misma estructura pero con otro vocabulario.Por lo tanto, la estructura "There is/are" nos indicará lo que hay en la imagen que está describiendo.

HERE↓ is the description:

• There is a table in the middle of the picture. There is an aquarium on top of the table. There is a large fish in the center of the aquarium . The fish is facing left.
• To the left of the aquarium there is a man sitting in a chair. The man has got glasses with circular frames, bear and short brown hair. He is facing you and he is sad.
• Opposite/ In front of the man, there is a woman with curly hair. She is also sitting in a chair and facing you, but she is smiling.
• Under the table, in the bottom of the picture, there’s a cat standing on its head.
• There’s a clock above the aquarium, with hands that show 3 o’clock.
• On the table, in front of the man, there is a big cup. Next to the big cup there is spoon. 
• There is a small cup in front of the woman as well.

VOCABULARY:
facing= tells us how to orient objects ("mirando (hacia)")

standing= apoyado/de pie
Its = es el pronombre posesivo que hace referencia a la 3º persona del singular neutro (IT) y significa "su" .(los copiasteis en el cuaderno).

above= encima de.
spoon= cuchara.

Aquí os dejo también, una imagen que puede resultaros útil para repasar algunas de las preposiciones de lugar.
